Funleader Artizlab Classic-M 50mm f/1.4
Funleader, working with Artizlab, is preparing another vintage-inspired M-mount prime, and this time it is a fifty. The Artizlab Classic-M 50mm f/1.4, announced October 23, 2026, is due in November 2026, and it draws from the classic Leica E43 Summilux 50mm f/1.4, a cult lens with a compact metal body and a distinctive hammered-finish hood.

LensGeeks has not tested this lens yet, and, importantly, full specifications and pricing have not been published yet. This article is a preview based on the announcement coverage available so far, and it says plainly what is not yet known.
What it is
Artizlab is the Funleader collaboration behind the Classic 35mm f/1.4 for M, released in January 2025, a tribute to the 1960s Summilux-M 35mm f/1.4 version 2. The Classic-M 50mm follows the same idea, applied to the E43 fifty.
According to the announcement, Artizlab recreates the original’s compact metal body and hammered-finish hood, and aims for the vintage Leica’s warm color rendition, smooth tonal transitions, and distinctive bokeh. Sample photos from the upcoming lens, taken with Leica M9, M11, and Sony A7 cameras, were shared with the announcement.
One hard specification published so far is close focus: the Classic-M 50mm focuses to 0.45m, compared with 1m on the original E43. That is a large practical improvement for portraits, street, and close-ups, and the same kind of modern update that makes these vintage-inspired lenses more than replicas.

What is not yet known
As of October 30, 2026, no official price, optical construction, aperture blade count, weight, dimensions, or filter size for the Classic-M 50mm has been published in the coverage found. Do not assume figures from the Classic 35mm, the original E43, or other M-mount fifties.
What is known is the mount, Leica M, the focal length, 50mm, the maximum aperture, f/1.4, and the release, November 2026. Everything else is pending until Funleader publishes a product page.

Price and availability
No price has been announced yet. The lens is due in November 2026. Check Funleader’s official site for updates before ordering, and do not rely on pre-order listings not confirmed by Funleader.
For context only, the earlier Classic 35mm f/1.4 launched at $489, later retail $539. That does not set the price for the 50mm.
Final thoughts
This is a watch-list lens, not a buy recommendation yet. The E43 is a beloved classic, and a compact, vintage-rendering fifty with 0.45m close focus is attractive for M-mount shooters. But without a price, a full spec sheet, or independent tests, the sensible move is to wait for Funleader’s product page and first reviews.
We will update this draft when those details are published, rather than filling in the gaps with guesses.
