Sirui Swift 20mm f/2.4 and 40mm f/2.2

Sirui’s new Swift series is a reminder that full-frame autofocus does not have to cost $500 or more. Announced October 29, 2026, the Swift lineup starts with two primes, a 20mm f/2.4 and a 40mm f/2.2, each priced at $149, each weighing about 210g, and each designed as a daily carry lens.

LensGeeks has not tested these lenses yet. This article is based on Sirui’s specifications and launch coverage.

What they are

Swift is Sirui’s budget, entry-grade full-frame line, positioned below its higher-performance Aurora line. The two launch lenses are meant to complement each other: a wide 20mm for landscapes, street, and vlogs, and a 40mm for portraits, street scenes, and detail work. On Fujifilm X APS-C bodies, those become roughly 30mm and 60mm equivalents.

Both lenses share the same idea: small, light, with real controls. Each has a clicked aperture ring with an automatic A position, a focus ring, a customizable Fn button, and an AF/MF switch. That last point matters, because several recent ultra-compact budget primes have dropped manual focus entirely. Swift keeps it.

Autofocus is by STM stepper motor, with Sirui promising minimal focus breathing, which makes the pair plausible for video as well as stills. Both lenses are weather-resistant, include a petal hood, and take 58mm filters.

Price and availability

Each Swift lens is $149, available for pre-order through Sirui and Amazon, with shipping reported as beginning November 5, 2026 (some coverage says November 6 as the release date). Check Sirui’s store for the current shipping date before ordering.

Final thoughts

At $149, the question is not whether these lenses are perfect. It is whether they are good enough, with controls and build that do not feel disposable. A full-frame 20mm and 40mm pair for $298 total, each about 210g, is a strong everyday kit on paper, especially for creators who want a small bag.

What we want to test is autofocus reliability, edge sharpness on the 20mm, and whether the budget price shows up in flare, distortion, or focus breathing. Until then, Swift is one of the most interesting budget announcements of the fall, precisely because it does not ask you to give up manual focus or an aperture ring to get the price down.
